Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, E. Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary
Mrs. McGrath died unexpectedly Monday at the Brockton Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Orlando F. and Amelia M. (Guarino) Petrino. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1964; she received her Registered Nurse diploma from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing, and she was also a graduate of Emmanuel College, receiving her BSN. She had been an employee of Brockton Hospital for many years working in the Operating Room and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. For the last 19 years she was an employee of New England Medical Center working in the Surgical ICU and most recently as a Clinical Resource Manager. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, a communicant of St. John’s Church, East Bridgewater and a former member of Legion of Mary, she also taught CCD at St. John’s Church.
She is survived by her husband Scott E. McGrath, 1 daughter Shay L. Dillis and her husband Gerard and 1 son Scott D. McGrath and his wife Doreen all of East Bridgewater, many nieces and nephews, 1 sister Irene Lacina of Bourne, and two brothers Alfred Petrino of Walpole and Roger Petrino of Middleboro.
