Marie Vertide Augustin (82) of Brockton died January 26th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Emmanuel Augustin.
She was born in Moron, Haiti daughter of the late Nerva Bonnet and Avenie Josma. Marie was a retired certified nurses assistant working for Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton and the Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain. She was a member of the Brockton Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church and enjoyed going on summer trips, participating in church activities, was known as a strong woman and loved to socialize with family and friends.
Marie is survived by 3 sons, Pierre Delourdes Augustin of Taunton, Jean Marie Junior Augustin and wife Franciesse of Randolph and Emeler Augustin and wife Hemaude of Brockton, her daughter Lordie Augustin and husband Jacques of Brockton, 6 brothers, Jean N. Bonnet of Brockton, Jean Marc Bonnet of Pennsylvania, Precene Bonnet, Jean Renaud Bonnet, Rigaud Bonnet and Louinor Bonnet all of Haiti, her sister Marie Michelle Bonnet of Haiti, 8 grandchildren, Dimitri, Delcie, Jephtae, Noah, Adley, Nahla, James-Henry and Amen, many nieces and nephews including Marie Lonaise Millen and Julitte Bonnet and her goddaughter Nirva.
Services in the Brockton Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 235 Court Street Brockton Monday February 5th at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Viewing from 8:30 am prior to services.
