Oxford – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul C. Jacques, 81, of Oxford and formerly of Worcester, on the 25 of January after a long illness. He was surrounded by his beloved wife Denise and other family members.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Denise A. (Rivers) Jacques; a son, Steven M. Jacques of Worcester; three daughters, Lorry J. D’Ascanio and her husband Ralph of Auburn, Lisa M. Jacques and her partner, Vanessa Johnson of Leominster and Tracy L. Gamble and her husband, Jesse of Rutland; two step sons, Scott M. Rondeau and his wife, Lisa of Oxford and Eric P. Rondeau and his wife, Christine of Auburn; two brothers, Lawrence G. Jacques and his wife, Margaret of Auburn and Robert E. Jacques and his wife, Nancy of Springfield; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was born in Worcester, son of the late Clarence Jacques and Alma (Vigneault) Jacques Dumaine. He was raised in Worcester and graduated from Holy name High School.
Paul owned P & L Transport Company and previously owned Jacques Brothers Transportation. He would never turn down the opportunity to play a game of cards or to take a trip to the casino. Paul loved watching and following sports and always looked forward to spending time with his family.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11 AM in Saint John’s Church 44 Temple Street Worcester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Paul may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
