Robert H. Mosier, 86, of Chester, NH, passed on to heaven Thursday January 25, 2024, in Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born on June 12, 1937 in Everett, MA, a son of Harvey and Rena (Colby) Mosier. Robert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing at Lake Massabesic. A love of music, especially country, photography of nature and playing guitar were passions he enjoyed. He worked as an engineer for Raytheon for 46 years which provided opportunities for him to travel the world. Even after retirement, Robert continued to learn and keep up with the latest technology. He was an intelligent, independent, and stoic gentleman. Often told he had very kind and gentle eyes with a great sense of humor. He will truly be missed.
He is survived by his beloved dog, the rock star, Elvis, his daughter, Angela McInnis, her husband Michael McInnis; son, Alan Mosier, his wife Patricia Mosier; brother, Herbert; three sisters, Anna, Helen, and Marilyn; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Zackery, Rachel Mosier, Shane, Cameron, Alecsander, and Trevor McInnis and five great-grandchildren, Bennett, Charlotte, Cohen, Logan, and Ashton as well as several nieces and nephews.
Robert is predeceased by his beloved first wife, Sandra Ruth (Hathorne) Mosier as well as brothers, Frank, Russell, and Richard and sister Jean.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 3:30pm to 5:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm in the funeral home. The graveside service will be held in Maine in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity dear to you.
