DUNLOP, Elena A. “Ellie” (Giuliana) longtime resident of Jamaica Plain, and formerly of the North End, sadly passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Robert Dunlop. Devoted mother of Linda Dunlop and her husband John Horgan, Christine and her husband Anthony Mele, all of Melrose.
Proud and loving grandmother of Tess, Robert, Zachary and Madison. Sister of Florence Kiggins of West Roxbury and the late Jo-Anne Palomba. Elena also leaves behind many adoring family members and friends.
Elena worked for the Boston Public Schools for 26 years and was passionate about the work she did. She shared her love for music by singing in the Boston Postal Chorus and her church choir. Elena cherished her time at Sunrise Lake with family and friends.
Visiting Hours on Sunday February 4th in the William J Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre Street West Roxbury from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday February 5th at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name 1689 Centre St West Roxbury at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery West Roxbury.
