Obituary

Sandra Helen (Boudreau) Roth (February 24, 1949 - January 26, 2024)

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Helen (Boudreau) Roth. She progressed through the stages of dementia reaching the late stage over the last few months of her life.

Sandy was born on February 24th, 1949, eldest daughter of the late Valrey and Marilyn Boudreau. She grew up in Millbury, MA, and graduated from Millbury High School. While mothering an infant, Sandy earned straight A’s during her nursing training at Memorial Hospital Worcester, MA. She was proud to be a registered nurse. After working in various nursing roles, Sandy found that she most enjoyed being a camp nurse. After her children were grown, Sandy enjoyed traveling and performing Christian missionary work in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Her life was a testament to her faith, kindness, generosity, and love of others.

Sandy was a member of The Commons Church in Rochester, NH. She loved going to church services, bible study, and group. She treasured spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. Sandy was very proud of her children and grandchildren, their many accomplishments and the many personal qualities. She was an avid reader, enjoyed many fried fish sandwiches, and was a savvy bargain shopper and negotiator. Many times, her children thought that she would have made an excellent lawyer. She loved going to the beaches on Cape Cod in the summer, Craigville Beach and Dennisport. She leaves behind a legacy as a wonderful mother and grandmother, valued member of her church, and fun loving friend. Her impact will continue in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Sandy’s memory will be forever cherished and missed by family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her three children; Glen R. MacNeil and his wife Heather, of Littleton, MA, Diane L. Connors and her husband Dan, of Chester, NH and Nancy C. MacNeil and her husband Mark Tassinari, of Maynard, MA; her six grandchildren Gannon, Connor, Violette, Ronan, Henry, and Will; her uncle Donald Bryan and aunt Alma, of Rutland, MA; two brothers; Val R. Boudreau and wife Mary of Wilmington, NC, and Dennis W. Boudreau of Myrtle Beach, SC, her sister Marilyn Cleary of Worcester, MA and sister in law Denise Boudreau, cousins and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved grandmother Marion B. (Young) Bryan of Worcester and her brother Philip N. Boudreau of Sutton, MA.

Her family would like to express their gratitude to many important places and people who have loved and cared for Sandy through the years and recently: the staff and residents at Lincoln Terrace Home Rochester NH, Nurse Elizabeth and the many other nurses from Wentworth Home Care & Hospice, all staff from Hyder Family Hospice House Dover NH, the loving friends from her church The Commons in Rochester NH; Leah & Jon Roth and family, the Bannon family, Susie and Carroll, Marion Margera (from another church family), Ruth, Eric, Julie, and all other members from her church family. A big hug also goes out to Sandy’s friend of decades Jeanne Masterman.
