Obituary







Paul G. Moreau, retired member of the Medford Fire Department, died Tuesday, January 23rd at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He was 85. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Andre and Yolanda (Rapaverona) Moreau.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Paul served the people of Medford with distinction as a firefighter for over 30 years. He proudly drove Ladder 1, the largest piece of apparatus that the MFD had. He also was a member of the City Retirement Board and of the board of the Municipal Credit Union. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed playing pool and even was involved in competitive billiards tournaments. Most of all, he loved being with his family.

Paul was beloved husband of Marguerite (Ragusa) Moreau. He was the devoted father of Paul D. Moreau and his wife Lorraine of Pennsylvania, Michelle Doiron and her husband Cliff of Barnstead, NH, Robert Moreau and his wife Sharon of Pelham, NH, and Nancy Fitzpatrick and her husband Michael of Danvers. He was a loving grandfather to Paul, John, Emerson, Cliff, Amber, Robert, Michael and Matthew. He was a loving great grandfather to Margot.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Monday, January 29th from 4-7 PM and again on Tuesday morning at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
