Mark Rivers was the most adventurous, daring, and bravest man I’ve ever known at the age of 19. He had never backed down from a challenge no matter the size. Hardship after strife verbatim, but he prevailed time after time rising to the occasion and proving everyone wrong who ever doubted him. Tenacity, perseverance, confidence, and an absolute urge to do better everyday is the embodiment of Mark Rivers. There was a way about him that made people just fall in love with his personality and huge loving smile. We never had much as a family, but he never hesitated to help when someone asked and never wanted anything in return. Love is what mark had and was; just like his father, mother, sisters, brothers, and grandmother. There will be a hole left in our family that can never be filled, but while he was there it was a wild and enjoyable ride filled with a lifetime of memories. Mark had too many friends to count and far too much love to fit in a simple paragraph let alone one lifetime. If others leave an afterglow mark leaves an explosion in his wake of happy memories, adventures, and too much love for one person to hold. Fly high buddy we will see you soon.
