Kevin Arthur Gould of Arlington, Massachusetts, passed away on January 21, 2024, unexpectedly after his annual trip to Maui where he enjoyed taking photos, whale watching and relaxing on the beach. He was 70 years old. He leaves his wife of 24 years, Jeanne Friedman, and a wonderful set of friends who will miss his humor and matter-of-fact attitude to life.
Kevin grew up in Cambridge and spent much of his life in Massachusetts where he worked in high tech sales and marketing primarily specializing in software. He was an avid photographer from a very early age. Combined with his love of travel he created a lifetime of unforgettable images. Kevin was always surrounded by plants – both indoor and outdoor. His deck garden yielded many vegetables and herbs and the prize crop was always his tomatoes.
Kevin appreciated many types of music but especially jazz. His favorite places were Scullers in Cambridge and Jazz Alley in Seattle. After retiring, Kevin took up the saxophone. Kevin also enjoyed watching sports especially from his front row Fenway Park centerfield bleacher seats.
He travelled all over the world – London, Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence, Lake Como, Hong Kong, China, Tahiti, The Galapagos, Macchu Picchu, Crete, Santorini, and many places in Canada and islands in the Caribbean.
Kevin will be interred at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Transplant Institute. Donate Here
