Ronald “Ronny” William Frederick, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida, surrounded by family. Ronny was born in Boston, MA and was a longtime resident of Brockton, MA before sharing his time between Laconia, NH, and Sebastian, FL. Ronny was the husband for 56 years of the late Joanne (Kucich) Frederick and son of the late Frank and Agnes Frederick.
Ronny served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Machinist Mate and had advanced training in aircraft engines, aircraft fuel systems and aircraft props. After Ronny’s military career, he began working as a millwright in Local 1121 Boston, MA.
An avid boater and fisherman, Ronny was a member of the Freedom Boat Club and made many memories with family and friends while on the water.
Ronny was the father of Linda Snow (William) of Whitman, MA, Christine Hurley (Robert) of Laconia, NH and the late Ronald “Bub” Frederick; brother of Michelle Foley of Brockton, MA, Nancy Dukas of Falmouth, MA and the late Johnny, Tommy and Sonny Frederick. He was the grandfather of Stephanie Salamone (Adam), Bill Powers (Jillian), Kate Carter (John), Shawn Hurley, Ronnie Hurley and Robbie Hurley. He will be sadly missed by his seven great grandchildren Jack, Emmy, Billy, Halle, Charlotte, Harrison and Amelia, his many nieces and nephews, his companion JoAnn Lambert and his close circle of friends at Beach Cove in Sebastian, FL.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Conley Funeral, Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, on Friday, February 2nd from 10am-12pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 pm. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
