Zachary Wayne Griffin IV, “Zee”, 20, of Ojai, California, passed away on January 18, 2024. Zee was born in Ventura, CA on February 27, 2003. He attended Ojai Valley Schools and later Epic Charter School, where he graduated in 2022, with an emphasis in mechanics. He was currently enrolled in courses at Ventura College.
Zee was a soul who paused his world to play with small children and help anyone in need, earning the endearing title of gentle giant. With a giving heart for humanity, he pumped people’s gas and changed tires for people stranded at the side of the road.
His compassion knew no bounds, showing patience with the elderly, eager to learn from their wisdom.
Zee's artistic spirit thrived as he painted, woodworked, drew, and wholeheartedly appreciated the beauty of art that surrounded him. Zee had an impeccable sense of style and fashion, an area that truly displayed his creative ability
Zee found solace in the serenity of nature, particularly at his beloved river bed or skiing in Sun Valley, ID. Zee would do anything to put a smile on the face of his loved ones, and if he ever made you laugh, it was his way of telling the world how much he loved you.
Leaving behind a void that can never be filled, Zee is survived by his mama, Jenny Griffin, father, Zachary Wayne Griffin III; sisters, Clover Estelle and Lucy Jo Griffin; grandparents Deno and Dr. Mary Jane Argentos of Norman, OK; and grandfather, Zachary Wayne Griffin, Jr. of Ketchum, ID. He also leaves an unending bond with Cruz Miller, Connor Petrie, and Logan Moray who were his life brothers, as well as his best friend, Izzi Barry.
As the only son and protector of his family, Zee's legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched. Although he left us too soon, we are so grateful for the time we had with him. May he find eternal peace, joining his grandmother Cynnie Griffin “GG” surrounded by the beauty he so deeply admired.
We love you for infinity, Zee.
“Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to they rest.”
