TAUNTON: Christina Marie Bird, 29, of Easton, MA passed away January 21, 2024 at Morton Hospital. Christina was born in Teaneck, NJ, the daughter of Joseph A. Bird, Sr. and Geralyn A. (Boyko) Bird of New Bedford, MA. Christina loved people, enjoyed music, spending time with her family, going for neighborhood walks in her wheelchair, and especially hearing dogs playing and barking.
Christina touched the lives of countless people who met and interacted with her. She is truly free now, as she never had been in all of her 29 years here on earth! She had lived in Massachusetts for most of her life.
Survivors include her father; step-mother Maryann D. (Murtagh) Bird of Franklin, MA; mother; a maternal grandmother, Margaret (Kelly) Boyko of New Bedford, MA; paternal grandmother, Joan (Tiedemann) Bird of Framingham, MA; a brother, Joseph A. Bird, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; step brothers, Kalead Bassma of Tampa, FL, Kamal Bassma and Keenan Bassma both of Franklin, MA; a sister, Juliemarie Bird of Franklin, MA; foster sisters, Giana Cheli, Arbella Hakani and Berlie Reyes-Cruz all of Franklin, MA; and nieces Hailey Louise Bird, Hannah Noelle Bird, and Harlow Melissa Bird.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 12pm at SOUTH COAST/BOYKO FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Rd., Fall River, MA. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm, prior to the service.
