Roy J. ''Champ'' Andrews, 39, died Sunday, July 2, 2006.
Mr. Andrews was born in Barnstable, the son of the late Roy J. and Johanna (Roderick) Andrews, he was a lifelong Cape Codder. He worked as a laborer for several companies. Most recently, he was employed by A and M Asphalt and T and K Asphalt.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and took his nieces and nephews ice skating during the winters. He also loved football, weight lifting and landscaping.
Survivors include a daughter, Marissa Lynn Andrews of Centerville; four sisters, Ann Monteiro of New Bedford, Gail Wheldon of Hyannis, Mary Lanzo of Hyannis and Joan Andrews of Hyannis; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, an uncle and many cousins. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Diane MacKay of Dennisport.
A Funeral will form at 9:00am on Saturday, July 8, 2006 in the Doane Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in the Saint Francis Xavier Church, South Street, Hyannis, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006 from 5:00-8:00pm in the Doane Beal and Ames Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the: Roy J. Andrews Fund, c/o T.D.
