Mary “Claire” Sullivan of Roslindale, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 20th, 2024 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late John L. Sullivan. Dear daughter of the late Pearse and Mary (Connolly) MacCurtain. Loving mother of John L. Sullivan Jr. and his wife Nicole of Roslindale, MA, Kerry A. Little and her husband Bob of Honolulu, Hawaii, Stephen P. Sullivan and his wife Maureen of Newburyport, MA, and Michael Sullivan and his wife Michelle of Valley Cottage, NY.
Cherished sister of John MacCurtain and his wife, Jane; Chief of Boston Fire Dept. (Ret.) Kevin MacCurtain and his wife, Maureen; Robert “Bobby” MacCurtain and his late wife, Judith; Thomas “Tommy” MacCurtain and his wife, Gail; and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Kearney and her husband, Michael Kearney.
Loving grandmother of Michael, Jake, Billy, Luke, Christina, Julia, Katie, Tara, Holly, Jack, and John III. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Sunday, January 28th from 2-5 pm. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, January 29th at 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
