Robbie D. Connelly, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Ms. Connelly was born April 23, 1942, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Byron & Maude Brewer Connelly. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida Presbyterian College. She had a long and distinguished career with the State of Georgia, retiring from the Department of Family and Children’s Services. She was an avid animal lover and will be missed by her feline companion, Danni.
She is survived by many family members including a sister-in-law, Betty Casper; a niece, Jan & Gary Ussery and a nephew, Jim & Debbie Casper; great-nieces and a great-nephew: Rhyan Ussery, Carla & Clint Revels and Casey & B.J. Rodgers; and great-great-nephews and a great-great-niece: Will, Cason, and Caroline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James T. Casper, Jr.
