Emma Jane Tomberlin 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, January 22, 2024, at Fellowship Home, in Cordele, Georgia.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Tomberlin was born September 18, 1936, in Wilcox County, Georgia, to the late James and Eva Grace Elder Rhodes. She previously worked at Rochelle shirt factory, Cordele Uniform, and the Post Office in Mims, Florida. Mrs. Tomberlin was a loving woman, and if you knew her you were loved.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, John Tomberlin of Fitzgerald; 3 sons: James Tomberlin & Michelle of Cordele, John Tomberlin of Jacksonville, and Jonathon Tomberlin & Maddison of Valdosta; 5 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a sister: Pamela Kicklighter of Screven.
