Barbara (Kearney) Staszesky, 100, of Framingham, formerly of Plymouth, Harwich Port, Lincoln, and West Newton, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024. Barbara was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Francis M. Staszesky, her parents Charles and Nora Kearney and her siblings, Marjorie, Joan, and Sonny. Barbara is survived by her children Frank, Jr., (Candi) of Roseville, CA, John of Sweeny, TX, Barbara Thorp of Norwood, Faith Hallock of North Chelmsford, and Paul (Robin) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Barbara was the proud grandmother to Frank, III, Jennifer, Christin, John, Jr., Matthew, Caitlin, Catherine, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Sarah, Andrew, and Allison. Barbara is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s life was devoted to the happiness of her family. Her greatest joys included: working in the garden, a lifetime of cats and dogs underfoot, daily reading of the newspaper, needlework, Sunday dinners with Grandmom and Grandpop Kearney at the table, numerous cross-country trips with Frank to Palm Desert, CA, and the many holiday and family celebrations on the Cape. She loved the preparation and the visits and the phone calls and hearing all the stories and events of her family.
Barbara was the center of her family’s world and will be remembered and loved forever.
