James Thomas Pate, Jr., 56, of Alapaha passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Pate at a later date.
Born June 16, 1967, in Turner County, Mr. Pate was the son of Martha Freeman Pate Brooks of Tifton and the late James Thomas Pate, Sr. He was employed at Griffin Ford in Tifton as a mechanic. He was very special to a lot of people; and he loved his grandkids very much.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Pate is survived by his step-mother, Lenora Pate; his wife, Candy Pate of Alapaha; two sons, Garren Baldree of Ray City and Joseph Scarberry of Alapaha; two daughters, Christina Fletcher of Nashville and Amanda Walls of Ashburn; two brothers, Alex Flowers of Live Oak, Florida and Wayne Johnson of Daytona, Florida; four sisters, Mary Vickers of Live Oak, Florida, Peggy Pate and Jennifer Lumsden, both of Tifton and Latrelle Wainwright of Tallahassee, Florida; and ten grandchildren, Allison, Xavier, Gracee, Jordan, Kataleigha, Addie, Rylan, Ella, Ryder and Harper
