Helen E. (Wilczenski) Zwicker, 75, of Salem, passed away, unexpectedly, at the Salem Hospital on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Kenneth C. Zwicker, with whom she shared fifty seven years of marriage.
Born in Lynn and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Stephen A. and Doris E. Wilczenski. Following her graduation from Salem High, she worked as a sales clerk for the former Almy’s Department Store in Salem. She later worked briefly for the Salem Laundry. For many years, Helen worked in bookkeeping and as a cashier for Rich’s in Salem. With the closing of Rich’s, she moved on to NECX in data entry, and later for Babies Are Us. Helen’s most recent employment was with Home Depot, from which she retired.
Helen’s first priority was for her family, and she also enjoyed crossword puzzles, Bingo and their pet animals.
In addition to her husband Kenneth, she is survived by two sons, Kenneth S.
Zwicker and wife, Roxanne of Kittery, ME and Richard A. Zwicker and wife Leigh-Andrea of Salem and granddaughter, Elizabeth H. Zwicker of Beverly.
Friends and family are invited to her visiting hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1A] Salem on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM to be followed by her Funeral Service at 11:15 AM in the funeral home.
