Judith A. (Perry) Murphy, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on May 31, 1947 in Springfield, daughter of the late Maurice and Helen Perry. She was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. Judith worked as a social worker and later at a bank for many years before retiring. Judith’s joy in life came from caring for her family, her sons and daughter, grandkids and great grandkids. She was forever grateful that the little ones always kept her young at heart. All who visited her knew of her love for plants, elephants, that one fish that refused to die, and of course her Millie pup.
She is predeceased by her son Scott Dietrich, her granddaughter Caitlin, and her siblings Jim, Helen, Terry and MaryEllen. She is survived by her sons Ian Dietrich of Gilbertville, Joel Dietrich of Chicopee, Timothy Dietrich and his wife Cassandra of Springfield; her daughter Juline Decker and her husband Jeff of Chicopee; as well as her brothers and sisters; Joe Perry, Pat Nadeau, Maggie Sanders-Ames, Fran Cuschieri and Charlene Trombley.
