Jorge Luis "Wiso" Rodriguez, age 74, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, January 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, Jorge made his way to the United States in 1967, calling Lowell his home.
He was a devoted son of the late Antonio Rodriguez and the late Maria (Robles) Rodriguez. Throughout his life, he found joy in simple pleasures, such as playing dominos, immersing himself in music, and cherishing moments spent with friends and family. His warm spirit and friendly demeanor endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
For 13 years, Jorge contributed his hard work as a forklift operator at Joan Fabrics until disability forced his retirement in 1989. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impact on those around him.
In the journey of life, Jorge was blessed with the companionship of Hilda Gonzalez, his beloved wife of 7 years, with whom he shared nearly three decades of unwavering love and commitment. Together, they created a legacy of family and enduring memories.
Jorge is survived by his seven children: Miguel Santana of Everett, Ivelisse Santana of Lawrence, Jorge Rodriguez Jr. of Lowell, Nancy Rodriguez of Dracut, Brenda Rodriguez of Lowell, Jacqueline Rodriguez of Lowell, ad Henry Rodriguez of Lowell, his step-son Hector Garcia of Dracut and step-daughter Nilda Garcia of Lowell. His legacy extends to numerous grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, the late Lydia Torres.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, his funeral will begin at the funeral home at 10am, his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick's Church, 282 Suffolk Street, Lowell, followed by burial in the Westlawn II Cemetery.
