Brenda M. Gallagher, age 85, of Danvers formerly of California and Winchester, passed away peacefully, December 15, 2023. She was the beloved wife for 63 years of Robert Malinski. Born in Winchester she was one of eight children of the late Patrick and Mary Agnes (Gill) Gallagher.
Brenda was raised in Winchester and was a graduate of St. Charles High School. She later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix. Brenda lived for thirty years in California where she worked for the Hexcel Corporation. In 1999, she moved back to Massachusetts and worked for many years in Waltham with the Polaroid Corporation prior to her retirement.
When not working, Brenda enjoyed snow skiing, dancing, arts and crafts, and loved watching football. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her beloved grandchildren. Brenda will fondly be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her love of travel and her adventurous spirit. She will be greatly missed.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Malinski. She was the devoted mother of Roberta Malinski of Pleasanton, CA, and Robert Malinski, Jr. and his wife Liz of Boise, ID. Loving grandmother of Casey and Jake Malinski. Cherished sister of Kathleen Tobin of North Reading, Phillip Gallagher of Lowell, the late Mary Dudley, John Gallagher, Arthur Gallagher, Anne Cady, and Patrick J. Gallagher. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday, January 26th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial prayer service beginning at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with interment at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Brenda's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
