James T. Talbot, 80

James T. Talbot, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Life Care Center of Raynham. He was the beloved husband of Maria I. (Brodeur) Talbot, to whom he was wed for fifty-three years.
Born in Boston, MA, on August 4, 1943, he was a loving son of the late Thomas A. and Rita W. (Burns) Talbot.
Jimmy grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was a 1963 graduate of Dorchester High School. Following high school, during the time of the Vietnam Era, he proudly served his country as a member of the Unites States Army.
A resident of Mansfield since 1970, Mr. Talbot was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25 and prior to retiring was employed for over thirty years as a warehouse worker in the produce section at Stop & Shop in Readville and retired from the company’s Freetown facility. He attended Saint Mary's Church in Mansfield.
Jimmy loved spending time with his adoring family and especially the simple pleasure of relaxing at home and watching television, his favorite being horror movies. Visiting amusements parks, where his youthfulness always shined came out on roller coaster rides and water slides. He also treasured the memories created vacationing with family in Bermuda.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Jenifer A. Lovely and her husband Bryan of Taunton and James J. Talbot of Mansfield. He was the cherished grandfather of Alora Lovely of Taunton, Connor Lovely of Taunton and Kasey Talbot of Seekonk. He was the dear brother of Catherine Hurley of Holbrook and her late husband Paul Hurley, Barbara LeBlanc and her husband Raymond of Fort Myers, Florida, Helen Wellman of Mansfield and her late husband David Wellman, Thomas Talbot and his wife Jacqueline of Foxborough, Robert Talbot of Mansfield and Richard Talbot of Easton and his late wife Michele Talbot. He is also survived by many-many loving nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
