Anne Marie (Walsh) Healey, of Westwood, Massachusetts, formerly of Weston and Osterville, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on January 11, 2024. She was lovely, warm, caring and well-liked by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother and cherished grandmother whose greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Born in Boston, MA on December 3, 1937 to Anna C. and James H. Walsh, Jr, Anne Marie attended Newton College of the Sacred Heart where she met the love of her life at a school mixer. Stephen Healey was a student at Harvard Medical School when he asked Anne Marie to dance. They married in 1961. Anne Marie and Steve had four children and led a wonderful, happy life for 59 years.
Anne Marie was a talented artist. She had a passion for painting and spent over 60 years producing beautiful works of art. She took pleasure in creating custom paintings, mostly landscapes and seascapes in oil and water color, to decorate her homes as well as the homes of her family. Her children and grandchildren are grateful for these special pieces that remind them of her love. She made lifelong friends at the Chilton Club, Wianno Club, Oyster Harbors Club and Longwood Cricket Club where she played bridge, golf, tennis, and enjoyed participating in book clubs.
Through the years, it was family gatherings that she loved most dearly. Anne Marie’s happiest moments were when she was surrounded by family. For many summers, she was a wonderful hostess to all her children and grandchildren, at her favorite place, her home in Osterville. Many happy memories were created there for which her family is thankful.
She is survived by her 4 children, Elizabeth Baldini and her husband Edward (Chestnut Hill); Stephen Healey IV and his wife Catherine (Wellesley); Peter Healey (Centerville); Katherine Saunders and her husband Gregory (Weston); and her 8 grandchildren of whom she was so proud, George and Eliza Baldini, Quinn and Cotter Healey, Morgan and Ben Healey, and Clark and Lindsay Saunders. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Stephen J. Healey, MD and her brother James H. Walsh, III. The family is grateful to the dedicated staff at Bridges by EPOCH in Westwood for their kind and compassionate care.
Memorial services will be private.
