Margaret A. “Peggy” (Doyle) Lane, 88, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024 with her family by her side after a period of failing health.
Born in Boston in 1935, she was the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Brennan) Doyle.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late John P. Lane and is predeceased by her son, John P. Lane, Jr.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters Barbara Clarke (Jim) of Whitman and Catherine King of Quincy, five grandchildren Joe McDonald (Kristen) of Abington, Erin Dolan (Jimmy) of Colorado Springs, CO., Richard and Christopher King of Quincy, William King of South Yarmouth, and a great granddaughter Evelyn McDonald. Peggy is also survived by her sister Gerry Lyons of Hingham and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy enjoyed reading, bingo, playing cards, doing puzzles, and crocheting.
Family and friends are invited to attend Peggy’s visiting hours Tuesday, January 23rd, from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be private.
