Richard M. Quinn, 63, of Lowell, MA, formerly of New Hampshire and Florida, passed away after a period of declining health at his home. He was the widower of the late Marie Jeanne “Jean” (Auger) Quinn, with whom he shared 30 years of marriage.
Ricky was born in Lowell on November 26, 1960, a son of the late Lewis Malonson and the late Arline V. Quinn. He grew up in Lowell, raised by his late grandparents John and Mary Ellen Quinn. He was a veteran of the US Army. Ricky worked and lived for many years in Florida before relocating to the local area. He was a kind man and an avid sports fan who enjoyed rooting on the Boston teams.
He leaves behind a large extended family, including his children, Richard Quinn and Eric Quinn, both of Wisconsin, Gary Smith of Lowell, Melissa McCarthy, Darren Smith, Joshua Smith and Kathleen Smith, all of Florida, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings, James Quinn and his wife, Susan, of Chicago, IL, Sandra Simpson and her husband, Derek, of Lowell, MA and Jeffrey Quinn, his aunts, Margaret Dawson-Roy of Dracut, and Patricia Houle and her husband, Ernest, of Dracut and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ricky’s funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements by the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA.
