Lee Clark Moulton, 74, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2024, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a battle with interstitial lung disease. He was born on August 16, 1949, in Burlington, VT, a son of the late Paul and Jennie (Sager) Moulton. Lee had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 36 years, formerly living in North Yarmouth, Maine.
Lee was one of five children, growing up in Shelburne, Vermont in his youth before moving to Manchester, NH. He attended Central High School for two years before moving to Cheshire, CT his junior year. While in Cheshire, he met the love of his life, Dayle.
An avid sports enthusiast, Lee played baseball and football throughout high school, going on to play both sports at Bowdoin College (Class of '71). While in college, Lee was a member of the Chi Psi fraternity, where he made many lifelong friends. After college, Lee and Dayle married and settled in North Yarmouth, Maine, where all three of their children were born.
In 1987, Lee and Dayle moved to Londonderry NH, where they raised their children and spent the rest of their lives. Lee was very involved in the community, coaching many sports teams, and serving as an active member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church. Lee worked as General Manager of Salem Plumbing Supply and Designer Bath in Beverly, Massachusetts for many years, where he was beloved by his coworkers and clients alike, to his retirement and beyond.
Lee was an avid reader, a crossword puzzle and sudoku enthusiast. He enjoyed woodworking and created many beautiful wood carvings in recent years. His greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was there for every game, cheering them on.
Lee is survived by his three children, daughter Greta Swisher, son Matthew Moulton and Karen Moulton, daughter Johanna Gould and her husband Jonathan, all of Londonderry; seven grandchildren: Julianne, Samuel, Andrew, Emily, George, Joseph, and Jonathan; his siblings Carl Moulton, David Moulton, Marsha (Moulton) Ladeau and husband Rob, and Jay Moulton and wife Erika Sweet. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Dayle Moulton, in 2016.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00am at the Londonderry United Methodist Church, 258 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A private burial will take place at a later date.
