WEIRS BEACH ---- Joan Marie Spooner, 92, of Weirs Blvd, died peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Concord Hospital in Laconia, NH.
Joan was born September 3, 1931, in Clinton, MA, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Aucoin) Hamilton.
Joan loved building a home with her husband, David, both in Westford, MA and on Diamond Island, Gilford, NH, for her family. She loved playing the piano, hiking mountains, and skiing. She actually was a member of the ski patrol at Nashoba Valley Ski Area, Westford, MA. Some of her fondest memories with family and friends was breakfast time at Ames Farm and the Union Diner. She enjoyed singing and dancing at the Blue Bistro. Dreams do come true…getting a hug from Keith Urban in her blue dress! A day she will never forget!
Joan is survived by her daughter Carol Lee Spooner of Methuen, MA, son John David Spooner of Weirs Beach, close friend Dawn Mula and the Diamond Shine family. In addition to her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband David Spooner and brothers Calvin Hamilton and Roger Hamilton.
Per Joan's wishes, there will be no services.
