Nancy E. (Kereacou) Stockman, 90, formerly of Norfolk and Marco Island, Florida, died peacefully on January 14 in the Healthcare Center at the Willows in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Stockman for 65 years until his passing in 2020.
Born in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of the late Basil and Martha (Duffy) Kereacou, Nancy was a graduate of the Holy Angels Academy, Class of 1951.
Shortly after graduation she married Dick, and they began their life together.
They started married life on the Army base in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, then moved to Buffalo, New York and eventually ended up in Norfolk where they raised their 4 children.
After retiring, Dick and Nancy moved to Marco Island, Florda where they enjoyed many years. They considered this island to be their happy place and loved being there.
Friends and family were always welcome to visit them on the island. All the grandchildren have very fond memories of spending time with “Grammie” on the beach, in their pool, fishing, and boating around the island.
Nancy is survived by her children, Cheryl (Stockman) Kewley and her husband Mike of Boylston, Kathleen Stockman and Dina of Wilmington, and Richard Stockman and his partner Kerri of Tewksbury.
She was the mother of the late Michael stockman.
Nancy is also survived by her daughter-in-law Lisa Stockman of Danvers.
Grammie will be greatly missed by her 8 grandchildren, Matt, Pat, Liz, Ben, Ellie, Alexandra, Laine and Quinn, along with her 5 great-grandchildren.
She made many friends at the Willows Retirement community, and throughout her life who she enjoyed greatly.
Nancy was greeted by Dick and Michael who were waiting with open arms.
A private funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Jude’s Church Norfolk, with a private burial to follow.
