Worcester—Mary (Dadian) Kalashian, 96, died July 1, 2006, in St. Mary Health Care Center. She was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide. Her husband of 56 years, Daniel S. Kalashian, died in 1985. She is survived by 3 children, Theresa Degermajian and her husband Garry of Worcester, Sarkis Kalashian and his wife Janice of Longmeadow, and Dan Kalashian and his wife Teresa of Dublin, CA; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nephews & nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Sahag Kalashian and his wife Mary, a sister, Sarah Bogoian, and a brother, George Dadian. She was born in Tadem, Armenia, daughter of Hovagim and Aslakan (Missakian) Dadian. She had worked as a stitcher at Worcester Knitting Co. and David Clark. She was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, the Avaks, Ladies’ Guild, and AGBU of Worcester. The family expresses sincere thanks to the entire staff at St. Mary Health Care Center. There are no calling hours. The funeral will be held Wed., July 5, 11:00 a.m. at Armenian Church of Our Saviour. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St Worcester 01609 or the St. Mary Health Care Patient Activity Fund, 39 Queen St Worcester 01610.
