Vivian F. CROWLEY, 80, of Whitman, passed away Sunday January 14th, after a period of failing health.
Born April 27,1943 and a lifelong resident of Whitman, she was the beloved daughter to the late M. Francis and Vivian (Pickett) Crowley.
Vivian attended Whitman schools, and attended St. Patrick HS in Brockton. Her love for learning led her to earn a Bachelor of Science degree at University of Rhode Island. She became a Science teacher at East Jr. High in Brockton in 1967 and went on to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching Science. She taught until retirement.
Vivian's love of animals led to leadership roles in the 4H but her passion was for her Arabian Show Horses. She earned many awards showing them around the country.
Vivian is predeceased by her beloved brother Joseph H. Crowley of Whitman.
She is survived by older brother David F. Crowley of California and his children. David Michael Crowley of New Hampshire and children Alexander and Nicole, Dawn Michelle Hall of California and her children Shaina and Angela and Bethany Anderson and her daughter Soren.
A graveside service given by Holy Ghost Church will be held Saturday, January 20th at 10:00am at St. James Cemetery, Harvard St, Whitman.
