Carolyn M. (Anderson) Schulz, age 86, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Schulz, Sr, to whom she was wed for thirty-four years at the time of his death on February 3, 1996.
Born in Foxborough, MA on October 1, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late Arthur E. and Jennie R. (Taber) Anderson.
Carolyn grew up in Foxborough and was a graduate of Foxborough High School. She was dedicated to her loving family and had previously been employed as an Order Entry Clerk at Regal Press in Norwood, as a Bookkeeper for her family’s business and also worked at Sweet Manufacturing in West Mansfield. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past fifty-nine years.
Carolyn’s family, whom she deeply loved, were the essence of her life and always came first. Her second love was being the most loyal fan of Tom Brady. Being a member of a tightknit family, Carolyn enjoyed attending and watching her late husband and brother-in laws and sister-in law racing stock cars. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, arts & crafts and gardening at home, where she enjoyed her beautiful lilacs.
Carolyn also had an affection for feeding wildlife creatures, watching the hummingbirds that frequented her yard, trips, covered bridges and enjoying the breathtaking view of New Hampshire foliage with her favorite niece Patty. She also collected Santa Claus dolls from different era’s and Snow babies. With a big smile on their faces, Carolyn’s family will always remember her remarkable cooking and baking skills and scrumptious meals prepared for the holidays.
She is survived by her devoted children: Paul E. Schulz, Jr. and his wife Dr. Denise Trapani, DVM of Mansfield, Robert A. Schulz of Mansfield, Douglas W. Schulz of Attleboro and Brenda L. Doucette and her husband James of Cumberland, RI. She was the dear sister of the late Robert Anderson, Rebecca “Becky” Schulz, Arthur “Andy” Anderson Lloyd “Ken” Anderson. She is also survived by her cherished 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, as well as her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of her life at a later date and place to be announced later.
