Manoo Ramchand, 82, of Worcester died Friday, January 12th at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 61 years, Ram Ramchand died in 2022. She leaves her daughter, Padmini Ramchand of Worcester; a son, Sharma Ramchand and his wife, Ann of Worcester; three sisters, Pamela Harris of California, Joyce Gedraitis of Worcester, and Diana Prashad of Holden; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Moonie Ramchand; four brothers, Bissoodat Prashad, Basil Santran, Krishna Prashad, and Rishi Prashad; and two sisters, Doris Prashad and Rita Prashad.
She was born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America and immigrated to the United States in 1979 with her family. Manoo held various positions at Millbrook Distribution for over 20 years; she also worked at Sears as a clerk for 12 years.
Family was important to Manoo and cherished the time they spent together especially on the family trips to places like Hershey Park, Pennsylvania, and Hawaii. She loved to cook, clean, bake but most importantly tend to her vegetable and flower gardens.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue beginning at 9:00 a.m. Followed by cremation at Rural Crematory, 180 Grove Street.
