Obituary

Luigidge Micaelle Gustin, affectionately known by loved ones as Mica, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in her current home in Houston Texas. Mica was born to Judicael Gustin and Willhelmine Moliere in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She was raised in Boston, MA with her mother, grandmother and two younger sisters, and remained connected to her brothers and paternal family out of state. Mica’s journey through life was marked by her deviation to her family and passion for self exploration and beyond, and unwavering kindness.

Mica was known for her warm heart and infectious laugh. Often described as unique, funny and comforting by her friends, family and really by anyone who met her and experienced her.

She took pride, appreciation and growth in her Haitian Heritage and being Afro-Caribbean. Always attending Haitian centered festivities, and Caribbean related social gatherings, Soca and Haitian music were her favorite.

She was the first grandchild and niece; The all knowing, in how to navigate being Haitian American, especially for the rest of the Haitian Rugrats (cousins). She had a natural mothering spirit that extended to all generations of the family, friends, and colleagues.

Mica is predeceased by her mother, Willhelmine Moliere, and her grandmother, Assefie Mathe.

Mica leaves behind her large maternal and paternal family, extended family of: best friends/confidants, many friends, and both her school and work families.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 27th from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Religious Service from 9:30-11 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale,
MA. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, 355 Walk Hill Street, Mattapan, MA
