Charles “Charlie” F Robinson, 77, of Foxboro passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024 at Hope Hospice Hospital Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Janet E (Miller) Robinson with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in Franklin, August 21, 1946 Charlie was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Brennan) Robinson. He graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1964, and went on to get an engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, class of 1969. Upon graduation from WPI, Charlie began a successful 40 year career at The Foxboro Company as a Project Manager until his retirement in 2009.
In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his two sons, Kevin and his wife Jennifer of Glenmoore, PA; and David of Foxboro. He was the loving “Papa” to Aidan and Shae, Ethan, Tyler, Maxwell and Kathryn. Charlie was the oldest brother and is survived by his sister, Patricia Warchol of Tennessee; James Robinson and his wife Noreen, of Franklin, MA; and Timothy Robinson of Franklin; and the late Paul Robinson and his wife LeeAnn, of New Jersey. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Anyone who spent time with Charlie know he was a quiet, unassuming man who deeply loved his family. During his time at The Foxboro Company, Charlie had a chance to travel all over the world, but his true passion was spending time with family and friends. Charlie could often be found in the kitchen, in front of a piano or working through a New York Times crossword puzzle.
During Charlie’s time at The Foxboro Company he developed life long friendships with several co-workers. Through those relationships and over years of family trips together, either skiing or camping in Maine, that became part of Charlie’s “Extended Family”, and created bonds that have passed down to his children and grandchildren.
He may be gone from our lives but his memory will continue to live on with those who had a chance to spend time with Charlie.
