Walter J. Kewriga, Jr., 73, of Medway passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Milford on November 16, 1950, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Barbara L. (Groehl) Kewriga.
Wally was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1968. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
Wally began his career as an Electrical Engineer at GRI Computer Corporation in Newton in the early 1970s, later joining Xylogics Inc in Burlington and Motorola Inc where he had a successful career for many years. He then went on to own and operate the former Medway Hardware Store for over ten years where he prided himself on serving his customers.
He is survived by his son Matthew Kewriga and his wife Kimberlee of Richmond, Virginia, his daughter Natalie Lennon of Medway, and two grandchildren Shay Lennon and Xena Kewriga.
He is also survived by three sisters, Elouise Kewriga and her husband Ronald Lindquist of Medway, Debra Carbary of Hopedale, and Judith Aldrich and her husband Mark of Medway, his aunt Carol Kelley of Medway, and many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, January 19th at 11a.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will be private at a later date.
