Brian R. Martin, 62, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Diane M. (Bairos) Martin, they were married for 36 years.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Hermenegildo and Cedalia (Souza) Martin, he was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Prior to retirement, he worked for Brittany Global Technologies for 39 years. He was a Communicant of the former St. Joseph / St. Therese Parish. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Including his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Jeffrey B. Martin of New Bedford and Jason R. Martin of New Bedford; a granddaughter: Lilah R. Martin; 2 nephews and several cousins.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 from the Kirby Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 7 P.M.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
