Born August 13, 1938, in Nocatee, Florida, Christine was the daughter of the late William McKinley Proctor and Mable Clements Proctor. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Dwayne Wood; two brothers, the Rev. James Alfred Proctor and Virgil Proctor; and one sister, Clara Proctor Gill. Christine devoted her life to her family; she served her church in many roles; and volunteered in her community.
Everyone who knew her was blessed by her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ despite her final years of pain, suffering and total dependence on others for her physical needs. Nothing that the devil threw at her could separate her from the love of Christ! Her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren, with her beloved Atlanta Braves coming in as a close second.
Christine is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Phyllis and Bobby Robson of Sealy, Texas, Cynthia and Ricky Harper of Crosland and Angela Underwood of Fayetteville, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Jason Beatty, Jessica Robson, Victoria Robson, Ricky Harper Jr., Lindsey Purvis, Addrienne Vanover and Ashley Preacher; several great-grandchildren; and even one great-great grandchild.
