Eliseu Mendes Cunha Afonso (44) of Brockton died January 8th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born in St. Laurenco Orgaos, Santiago, Cabo Verde son of Eduino Afonso and Iolanda (Mendes-Duarte) Afonso both of Brockton. Eliseu was a truck driver by trade and a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. He enjoyed soccer, working, was known to help many people and to socialize with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he is survived by 3 sons, Edney, Lizandio and Mikael Afonso all of Brockton, 2 brothers, Edmilson Afonso of Brockton and Osvaldino Afonso of Cabo Verde, 2 sisters, Rutinea Teixeira and Elisangela Correia both of Brockton.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Monday January 15th from 5-8 pm.
Services in the Funeral Home Tuesday January 16th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
