Jerome “Jerry” Kent Rhodes

Jerome “Jerry” Kent Rhodes, 87, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Anderson St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born on January 21, 1936 in Anderson, the son of Hubert K. and Rebecca Faye (Decker) Rhodes. He was a graduate of Ball State University, where he was a swimmer, and was employed by Guide Lamp for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. Jerry had attended First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed 20 years of wintering in Ft. Myers, FL and spending summers at Lake Tippecanoe.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Paula (Vanderbur) Rhodes; children Kent (Debbie) Rhodes of Crawfordsville, Kevin Rhodes of Anderson and Kelli (Brian) Taylor of Anderson; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Nicole) Rhodes, Kevin (Hillary) Rhodes Jr, Kelsi (Blake) Morgan, Brandon(Michelle) Taylor, Alexa (Randall) Weaver; great grandchildren, Caleb and Maeve Taylor, River Weaver, Jack, Amelia, and Zara Rhodes; brother-in law, Dale (Vicki) Vanderbur and niece, Autumn (Steve) Carter and their children, Ellie and Sam Carter.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tom and Dusty, and a daughter-in- law, Julie Rhodes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 3-5 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 5 PM.
