Charles N. Finley, 83, of Londonderry, NH died Sunday January 7, 2024 at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center, Manchester, NH. Charles was born in Concord, VT on February 29, 1940, a son of the late John Finley and Ruth (Kenney) Wilson. He had resided in Londonderry since 1975.
Charles Finley was a lifelong Yankees fan and baseball enthusiast. He even played in college and made sure to pass his love of the game onto his children and grandchildren. He worked in several different fields including nuclear and fossil power before working in the car sales industry at Peter’s of Nashua where he retired. Charles was very fond of April Fools’ Day and never missed the opportunity to prank his friends and family. In his later years, he could be found watching the Game Show Network and playing Candy Crush while eating Lemon Oreos.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda (Michalenoick) Finley of Londonderry, one daughter; Jennifer Dyer and her husband Randy of Hooksett, NH, one son; Michael Finley and his wife of Clinton, MA, six grandchildren; Caitlin, Sean, Megan, Brandon, Emilie, and Liam, two sisters; Mary Gochie of Concord, VT, and Majel Wood Lunenburg, VT, as well as seven nieces and nephews.
He will forever be missed by his family and will always be remembered as the best husband, dad and grandfather.
Following cremation, burial will take place in Vermont in the spring. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is assisting the family with arrangements.
