Obituary

Phuoc “Tony” Dan Ha, 59, of Worcester died Thursday, January 4th at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife, Quit Thi Nguyen; two sons, Andy Ha of Clearwater, FL, and Marty Ha of Worcester; two daughters, Binh Ha and her spouse, Elizabeth Rafalaf of Aldan, PA, and Rose Ha of Worcester; a granddaughter, Kaleiah Ha; and his godchildren, Cindy Huynh, Tan Mai, Mylan Nguyen, Trung Ngo, Hung Ngo, and Tracy Ngo. He also leaves his best friends, Son Huynh and Chien Bui who were like brothers to him.
Born in Chau Doc, Vietnam, Phuoc immigrated to the United States in 1980. He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1983, where he was a soccer star. Tony worked for over 30 years at the former Madison Cable. He was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of Vilna Church. Tony enjoyed singing karaoke, playing volleyball, and billiards. He was known as the jokester of the family who was always laughing and smiling. His favorite pastime was spending time with his granddaughter, who was also his bestie.
His funeral is Saturday, January 13th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 153 Sterling Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. Calling hours are Friday, January 12th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in funeral home.
