Jimmy Clark Watson, Sr., 73, of Tifton passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center in Macon. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Mr. Watson will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born August 20, 1950, in Tifton, Mr. Watson was the son of the late Robert Leon Watson and Georgia Griffin Watson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Watson and Johnny Watson. He retired from Tifton Aluminum Company; and he enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family, especially his boys.
Mr. Watson is survived by a special friend, Sara Watson of Douglas; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eddie and Jennifer Watson of Winder and Jimmy Clark Watson, Jr. of Douglas; one brother, Robert Watson of Tifton; one sister, Sue Goforth of Rentz; five grandchildren, Patrick Watson, Taylor Watson, Peyton Watson, Camden Watson and J.C. Watson; and two great-grandchildren, Maverick Hernandez and Maisie Hernandez.
