PARSONSFIELD- Mark was many things in his life. Brother. Friend. Husband. Father. Grandfather. Great grandfather. Uncle. Native of Maine. Graduate of Thornton Academy. Football player. Veteran of the war in Vietnam where he served as a paratrooper with the Army Special Forces Unit of Pathfinders. Professional chef. Software developer and analyst. Homesteader. Housebuilder. Homebody. Hunter. Falconer. Wildlife enthusiast. Lover of Ray Charles and Vivaldi. Admirer of Frank Lloyd Wright. Favorite flower - Freescia. Favorite food - Sushi. Favorite movies - Gettysburg, Platoon, Band of Brothers, Dances With Wolves. Least favorite thing - small talk. Most favorite thing - his home atop Gladys & Rose Hill.

Mark faced death with remarkable clarity and grace. Gratitude towards his longtime personal aides and hospice caretakers is beyond words.
