Gary P. Medeiros, Sr., 70

Gary P. Medeiros, Sr., age 70 of Norton, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at home on Friday, January 5, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Martha M. (Erickson) Medeiros, to whom he was wed for forty-eight years.
Born in Cambridge, MA on January 23, 1954, he was a loving son of the late Alfred A. and Emily E. (Baptiste) Medeiros.
Gary grew up in Waltham, playing football and baseball and was a 1972 graduate of Waltham High School. He continued his education, graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Services and also where he played rugby.
A resident of Norton for over forty years, Gary was the owner of the former Trifort, Inc. a company he founded and successfully operated. Gary’s greatest joys in life were his family, especially the grandchildren and the special love he had for the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was well known for training dogs to hunt. More recently, he treasured the times bird hunting with his beloved hunting companion “Emme”. While his sons were growing up, he spent so-much time at the rink watching them play hockey and attending all of their practices. Gary also looked forward to times spent and creating lifelong memories on his property in Anson, Maine.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted sons: Gary P. Medeiros, Jr. and his wife Kristina of Taunton, James M. Medeiros and his wife Kaitlin of West Townsend and Daniel J. Medeiros of North Attleboro. He was the cherished and proud grandfather of Gavin, Alexis, who was his pheasant whisperer, Griffin, Addison, Hendrix, Ellie, Maclin and Beau. He was the dear brother of Alfred Medeiros of Hollis Center, Maine, Alan Medeiros of Taunton, Carolyn Cadigan and her husband Bill of Shapleigh, Maine and is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
