Maria W. Savvas, 95, of Hartford passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday January 5, 2024. She was born in Rhodes, Greece on November 21, 1928, daughter of the late Savva Diacostengou and Stella Monahokorie. Maria is survived by her five children Kitsa, Charlie, Stanley, Sam and Demitry. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10a.m. to 11a.m. at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral 433 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m.. Burial will immediately follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
