Michael Steverson, 47, of Tifton, Georgia, died Thursday, January 4, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Rev. Randy McDuffie officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Steverson was born February 16, 1976, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to Mary Elizabeth Stevens of Tifton and the late Harvey Steverson. He worked in construction, logging and landscaping. Mr. Steverson enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Rosie.
He is survived by his mother Mary Stevens of Tifton; a daughter, Chloe Lane Steverson & Matthew Weeks of Adel; a son, Anthony Steverson of Tifton; siblings: Donna Reliford & Lonnie of Tifton, Teresa Steverson of Tifton, James Steverson of Tifton and Chasity Freeman of Florida; nieces and nephews: James Ellis, Jamie Ellis, Jimmy Ellis, Justin Heath, Kimberly Abbott, Sierra Heath, Kelly Lott, Kayla Lott, Dakota Steverson, Alex Freeman and Avery Freeman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two nephews: Christopher Steverson and William Steverson.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
