Frances Pauline McLaughlin, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Bear Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Wakefield. She was 88 years of age.
Pauline was born in Boston on March 25, 1935, a daughter of the late James McLaughlin and Catherine (McLaughlin) McLaughlin. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Pauline worked as a secretary for several health insurance companies throughout her career.
Pauline is the former wife of the late Neil Brennan. She is the dear sister of Elizabeth Bell, and the late Mary Hurley, Catherine McLaughlin, Veronica Smith, Marjorie Coleman, Virginia Powers, Rita Biggins, Rose O'Leary, Thomas McLaughlin, Stephen McLaughlin, Vincent McLaughlin, James McLaughlin, Cornelius McLaughlin, Michael McLaughlin, and Robert McLaughlin. She is the beloved aunt of Alice (Biggins) Hanley, Betsy (O'Leary) Hoffman, and many other loving nieces and nephews. She is the dear lifelong friend of Dottie (Pepper) Duffy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pauline's visiting hours on Wednesday morning, January 10, 2024, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
