SPRINGFIELD – Anthony “Tony” Galanis, 55, of Springfield, was Called Home on Sunday, December 31, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by all the memories that he loved and cherished. He was born in Springfield on May 17, 1968, a beloved son of the late Matthew and Mary-Jane (Sibley) Galanis. He was raised in Springfield, graduated from Putnam Trade High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a self-employed electrician working throughout Western Massachusetts. Tony loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He had a big heart and was always willing to help out his family and many friends. He leaves his loving wife, Shelly A. Cramer of Springfield; his loving daughter, Toniann Dumais and her husband, Tony, of Chicopee; his two cherished grandchildren, McKenzie and Owen Dumais; his three loving step-daughters, Meaghan Rondeau, Alivia McClendon, and Brenna McClendon and her husband, Tyler O’Connell; Toniann’s mother, Ann M. LaRosa-Stellato and her husband, Jeffrey Stellato, and their son, Matthew Stellato, all of Chicopee; his two dear brothers, George Galanis and his wife, Shelly, and John Galanis; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear brother, Peter Leonard. His funeral and burial will be private.
