Webster: Damarys Abigail Reyes, 56, passed away on December 27, 2023 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of over 21 years Cesar Flores; a son Patrick Funes-Reyes; 2 daughters- Jennifer Funes-Reyes and Sharon Carballo; 4 grandchildren- Jaziel, Isamary, Ariana, Abigail; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Abigail, as she was known, was born in La Union, El Salvador, daughter of Napoleon Rodriguez and Rosa Isabel Reyes. When she was younger she was known as the best softball player in her region. She graduated from high school, and worked as a technician for several companies over the years. She was the pioneer of the family, coming to the United States, working, and sending money back to bring other family members here. She was always the life of the party, loved cooking, and helping people. She was very wise and was a strong woman of faith. She will be missed.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6-10 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. The same night at 7 p.m., there will be a religious service at Cristo Roca Eterna 1048 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
